MWM Data in Data Release 20
In DR20 MWM is releasing APO and LCO spectra from BOSS-N and -S through February 2, 2025 (MJD=60708) as well as stellar parameters and abundances from several BOSS pipelines under the Astra framework.
No new APOGEE spectra or summary files are being released in DR20. The DR19 files have been copied and relabeled as DR20, but contain the same data.

Getting Started
- Our Getting Started page has links to several useful pages.
- If you would like to dive right in, the tutorials provide Jupyter notebooks and sample SQL queries.

Targeting
- Overview of the targeting database and the target selection process
- Each MWM science program has a set of targeting cartons associated with it. The relevant science program page has the detailed selection criteria for each targeting generation
- SDSS-V targeting flags and how to read them using semaphore. Note that APOGEE-1 and -2 spectra from DR17 have their DR17 targeting flags.

Stellar Parameters and Abundances
- We have several stellar spectral analysis pipelines incorporated into Astra. Which pipeline output is relevant depends on your science.
- Details on the relevant Astra outputs and how to get them
- We have written some informal guidance on stellar parameters, stellar abundances, radial velocities, and spectra.
