MWM Data in Data Release 18
In DR18, MWM is only releasing targeting data. For a particular generation of targeting, used for FPS data in its first year, we present the selection criteria and the targets from our overall catalog that match those selection criteria.. These data can be used to
- Understand one iteration of the targeting cartons
- See whether a particular object could potentially be targeted in MWM
These targeting data cannot be used to know what we actually observe, as that involves running the targets through survey strategy software, which takes in account the length of the survey, the positions that the fiber robots can reach in a given field, the moon phase, etc.
