Value Added Catalogs

In addition to the primary SDSS photometry and spectroscopy, there are a few extra catalogs created by our collaborators that are distributed through the SAS. These Value-Added Catalogs (VACs) are listed below, and include catalogs that were released in earlier data releases.

Abstract

The primary goal of the Open Cluster Chemical Abundance and Mapping (OCCAM) survey (Otto et al., in prep, Myers et al. 2022, Donor et al. 2020, 2018) is to create a comprehensive, uniform infrared-based spectroscopic dataset of key open cluster parameters. Our analysis combines the Milky Way Mapper/APOGEE radial velocities and chemical abundances determined with the ASPCAP pipeline with astrometry membership probabilities using the Gaia DR3 observations to establish membership probabilities in proper motion, radial velocity, and metallicity for open cluster stars. This VAC consists of 2 files, (1) bulk cluster motions using updated Gaia DR3, chemical abundances, and orbital parameters for 164 open clusters, and (2) the DR19 data used to determine membership and bulk parameters, including membership probabilities, positional data, Gaia IDs (DR2 and DR3), SDSS-V IDs, kinematics, and metallicity for individual stars. We recommend that you always use the latest updated catalog (DR19), but previous versions of the APOGEE OCCAM catalog are still available. The DR17 version of this VAC contains 153 open clusters, and is available here, while the DR16 catalog with 126 open clusters can be found here. The DR14 catalog with 19 open clusters is also still available here. The content of these catalogs is described in the data models available here.
