In addition to the primary SDSS photometry and spectroscopy, there are a few extra catalogs created by our collaborators that are distributed through the SAS. These Value-Added Catalogs (VACs) are listed below, and include catalogs that were released in earlier data releases.
Open Cluster Chemical Abundances and Mapping catalog
Open Cluster Chemical Abundance and Mapping catalog based on APOGEE-2 DR17
Abstract
The Open Cluster Chemical Analysis and Mapping (OCCAM) survey (Donor et al. 2018;Donor et al. 2020; Myers et al. in prep.) aims to produce a comprehensive, uniform, infrared-based spectroscopic dataset for open clusters. Our analysis combines APOGEE radial velocities and metallicities with proper motion observations from Gaia Data Release 3 to establish membership probabilities for APOGEE stars in open cluster fields. This third VAC from the OCCAM survey consists of two datasets: bulk cluster motions (radial velocities, proper motions) and abundances for reliable elements, as well as the membership probabilities for all stars considered in the open cluster analysis. The DR17 version of this VAC contains 153 open clusters. We recommend that you always use the latest updated catalog (DR17), but previous versions of the APOGEE OCCAM catalog are still available. The DR16 version of this VAC contains 126 open clusters, and is available here, while the DR14 catalog with 19 open clusters can be found here. The content of these catalogs is described in the data models available here.
